Right now the stock market is in free fall, and the federal government is throwing away trillions of dollars it doesn't have, to try to save the country from the effects of corporations spending money they don't have.
The other day President Bush, Jr. said, "the free market is not working." Seems like our president is still a little school boy, protesting that the other side is cheating just because they're winning.
Not that anyone is winning right now.
But this is the free market. This is how it works. People who spend money they don't have come to bad ends. In competition, some people win, and some people lose. Play too many tricks to keep from losing, and then when you do lose, you lose big time. Little Dubya's got a pout on, because right now it seems its all his buddies who are losing, and he thought it would only be other people who would have to lose.
It's the smallest violin in the world, and its playing, "My heart bleeds for you."
